Jungle Girl Vs. Furries

Judy Of The Jungle was Better Publications' own little knockoff of Sheena, created by Ralph Mayo and was featured in Exciting Comics. Judy wasn't raised by apes like other jungle heroes, but instead by her father who was a naturalist that lived in the African wilds, and once he was killed Judy went on a vendetta against anyone who threaten her domain, sort of like a female Punisher. Judy had no powers or enhanced abilities, just good healthy outdoor living and a talent for communicating with some her animal friends, plus she had an adventurer boyfriend called Pistol Roberts who backed her up with a loaded gun. Judy's adversaries were the normal brand of jungle baddies like treasure hunters and lost city dwellers, but in one case drawn by Art Saaf she went after the one thing she hate's most of all, furries! A geologist discovers diamonds in a mine and then his family are attacked by the Leopard Queen, another white lady wearing a skimpy catskin outfit, along with her trained leopards and some local henchmen, leaving only the boy Freddy to get away. After nearly getting a rhino horn up his backside, Freddy is rescued by Judy who was swinging around. Judy goes after the Leopard Queen, while Freddy tags after her like he's Scrappy to her Scooby-Doo. The Leopard Queen captures Freddy and threatens Judy that she'll scratch him with her poisonous claws, which is of course something leopards don't normally have, only to be killed by Judy's panther buddy Kala who had just done away with an evil leopard lackey. Judy takes the slain leopard's corpse to the Leopard Queen's flunkies claiming that it's their former highness who reverted into a literal cat after dying and then frees Freddy's parents. For a brief appearance, the Leopard Queen's flashy entrance could've made her a regular sassy rival to Judy, but because she was just a greedy white dame digging for diamonds, she never learned the dangers of the feral jungle and thus got chomped into panther food.
